FIRST YEAR STUDENTS & RESIDENTS!!!!
Would you like a chance at winning a iPod Nano?
All participants who complete part 1 and part 2 of this online program by October 31, 2009 will be entered in the drawing.
To get you off on t he right foot, we are requesting that all entering students take and complete Alcohol-Wise, an on-line alcohol education course to help examine your relationship with alcohol. This confidential interactive assessment provides general information about how alcohol affects the body and the brain. There is excellent information in this program regardless of whether you drink alcohol. You will have a chance to look at your own drinking habits, learn tips on how to avoid binging, and learn ways to deal with others who are disruptive or in danger due to their alcohol consumption.
To enroll go to http://www.3rdmilclassrooms.com. When asked for your Control Number, enter the code number GMUAWR. All new students who complete both parts of Alcohol-Wise by 10/31/09 will be registered into a drawing to win an iPodNano, portable media player. This means that in order to be eligible for the drawing, you must complete part 1 of the course (which takes approximately an hour) by 9/20/09. You will receive an e-mail in 30 days reminding you to complete the 15 minute mandatory follow up.
